You Might Be a Liberal, But the Hermanator is Here to Help

"Merry Christmas" is an expression of hope that someone will receive the blessings of Christ, and enjoy the celebrations of His birth. It is not a provocation or an attempt to antagonize someone who may not believe in Christ, which someone told me recently as to why they would prefer "Happy Holidays." Not knowing this person very well, I thought to myself that they might be a liberal and didn't know it.

In fact, it caused me to wonder if liberals in general are aware of their philosophical tendencies, or if they truly believe their views of the world are normal. Rather than debate the definition of a liberal, I thought it might be less antagonizing to share the "Hermanator's Helpful Hints" that one might be a liberal. In that way, unsuspecting liberals could draw their own conclusion if they were truly honest with themselves.

It is also a good time to consider these hints as we begin the New Year with another non-stop year of presidential campaigning, another year of political pandering to the uninformed and another year of liberal denial by the Democratic leaders in Congress.

Admittedly, these hints are "Foxworthy" in style, which means they are intended to enlighten and not insult. If one is not familiar with Jeff Foxworthy, this could be yet another sign that you might be a liberal and not know it, as well as having a sense of humor disorder.

You Might Be a Liberal
By The Hermanator

  1. If you believe there is no Social Security crisis . . . you might be a liberal.
  2. If you believe government can spend your money better than you can spend your money . . . you might be a liberal.
  3. If you believe we can save Social Security by raising taxes and reducing benefits . . . you might be a liberal.
  4. If you believe the economy would be as strong as it is without President Bush's 2003 tax cuts . . . you might be a liberal.
  5. If you believe global warming is a crisis . . . you might be a liberal.
  6. If you believe you should run your household finances like the government runs Social Security, you might be broke!
  7. If you believe the IRS is your friend, you are intellectually challenged!
  8. If you believe the death tax is a fair tax . . . you might be a liberal.
  9. If you believe the Democrats in Congress care about the Democratic voters, you are a victim of liberal abuse!
  10. If you believe a tax refund is a bonus from the government, you are an idiot!

May your 12 days of Christmas be merry and bright, and your New Year filled with happiness!
